I have to admit that Tony, Carol and Jana are close family friends. We all met in Colorado decades ago and moving to Florida hasn't changed our love for each other at all. With their youngest daughter Jana getting ready to graduate high school, coming to Florida for Spring Break was something they all were looking forward to. As the temperature dropped into the 30's in Denver, they flew into a heatwave in Florida. Jana brought her friend and they spent every day at the beach and every evening giggling and watching (mostly bad) movies with us. Carol relaxed by the pool, embracing Social Distancing. Tony went fishing, explored the area, and walked the beaches for shark's teeth. We had a great week together and created even more memories that will last a lifetime.
With the beaches getting ready to close because of the Coronavirus outbreak, we took advantage of one of the last beach days to take photos at Venice Pier. The beach and Sharky's was less crowded than normal as people were starting to stay home more. We took advantage of the opportunity to get some great family pictures under the pier and then moved onto the beach as the sun finally started to set.
As with all vacations, the time felt too short and we were sad to see them leave. But they will always have great memories and family photos to look back on this very unique time.
