When AJ reached out around Thanksgiving about having his Senior Pictures taken at the beach, I thought it was a great idea.  Soon I was talking to his mom Tina, and felt like I was talking to an old friend.  Although they live in Missouri, they vacation often at her dad's home in Placida.  The whole family loves fishing, boating and the beach.

They knew they were going to come down to spend Christmas in Florida so we decided that a couple days after Christmas would be a great day for their session.  Although this was going to be AJ's Senior Session, Tina loved the idea of taking some photos of the whole family together.  Like many families, they hadn't had professional pictures taken since the kids were little.  

We agreed that I'd start at their house and we could take some photos there.  We found several places in their yard for the family to gather. 

AJ asked if I'd take his picture on the paddleboard and of course I would.  Although I was a tad nervous that he might fall in, he was a pro and we got this photo.

Then Tina and AJ came with us to Boca Grande.  AJ loved the Banyan trees on Banyan street and l wasn't surprised when he asked if he could have some pictures taken in the tree.  He successfully climbed up and we got some fun shots. 

Next it was down to the beach for golden hour photos.  He posed and smiled and had a few ideas for pictures that he wanted.  It was a beautiful sunset and a fun afternoon with this family.

AJ will finish up his senior year and has already been admitted to the University of Missouri where he plans to study Nursing.  His love of Florida and the water will always bring him back to his second home down here.
