Frank and Lucy hit it off from the moment they met and after dating for a couple of years, Frank asked Lucy to marry him. From the beginning, Lucy knew exactly what she wanted her wedding to be...formal, elegant, classic and glamorous. They toured a lot of different venues but fell in love with Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice as soon as they saw it. With COVID closing everything down last year, they decided to plan for a February 2021 wedding.
Lucy told me early on that the two most important things about their wedding was they wanted great food and great photography. I was honored she chose me to capture their special day. We stayed in touch throughout the year, sharing ideas back and forth, and when we met in December to walk around the property together, we came up with a photography plan for the day.
Before we knew it, the wedding day was here. We got to the club early to photograph the reception area, making sure to capture the centerpieces and homemade limoncello bottles that their mom's had spent a year making. Lucy had unique touches like her wedding bouquet was created from her mother's brooches and the groomsmen wore brooches instead of boutonnieres. Lucy and Frank exchanged love notes before the wedding and although they didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, they shared a moment together.
Vibrant Hues Events finished up the outdoor decorations and kept everyone on schedule throughout the day.
Jesse Lee Hair Artistry created a glamourous updo for Lucy. After her makeup was finished she put on her sparkling dress and earrings and was ready to walk down the aisle with her father.
Surrounded by 50 friends and family, they exchanged personal vows and said I DO.
After family pictures we took a few minutes to go outside and get more photos of them alone. The trees and golf course provided a beautiful background for their couple's photos.
Since it was important to them to make their cocktail hour, we headed back indoors for them to enjoy their food and friends. A four course dinner including filet and lobster was enjoyed by all. After toasts, cake cutting and dances, we headed back outside for a few final photos in the entryway of the Club.
It was an unforgettable day for Lucy and Frank and I know their lives will be filled with love and laughter.
