It's been more than eight years since Cristina and Kurt first met at a restaurant.  Now they have a life together with three beautiful children and a new home in Gran Paradiso, Venice.  They are excitedly planning their November wedding and it was the perfect time for their engagement photo session so they'd have pictures for their wedding announcements. 

They both love their new community and the architecture and parks around Gran Paradiso made for a fun backdrop for our shoot.  We got started with some fun shots under the arches and they smiled and laughed as Kurt twirled Cristina around our imaginary dance floor.

Then we headed over to the lake and bridge for a completely different look.

They talked excitedly about their family, the renovations they are undertaking at their new home, and of course, about all of their wedding plans.

Day by day, it's all coming together and their dreams are coming true.

We waited until the sun set and darkness surrounded us, to capture our final set of images for the night.  Surrounded by the lights of the columns, they took another spin around the dance floor.

As always, the night must come to an end.  Cristina told me later that looking at their engagement photos actually made putting their wedding announcement together, FUN.  I can't wait to photograph their wedding in just a couple of months.
