I met Cristina and Kurt in the spring as they started planning their wedding.  They've been together for more than seven years and feel like they are already married, but it was time to make it official.  We had a great engagement session over the summer, and they used some of those photos for their wedding announcements.  

They had an ambitious plan for their wedding day.  Cristina got ready at Hotel Indigo in downtown Sarasota.  Her sister and daughter helped her with every detail.  Since Cristina is several inches shorter than Kurt, she wore fabulous high heeled shoes!

They knew they wanted to get married at St. Patrick's Catholic Cathedral in Sarasota where they attend church every week.   They had a traditional ceremony with readings from their children, exchanged vows and shared communion.

We took all of their family formals in the church and then everyone headed to Bonita Beach to the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort.  They wanted to have their reception at a venue that everyone could enjoy and spend the weekend celebrating together.  This resort has a beautiful foyer and pool area where we took some additional pictures of them together before joining everyone at the reception.

They wanted to have as traditional a wedding as possible so Kurt tossed her garter and Cristina threw her bouquet to all the single ladies.

It was a great day and everyone had a wonderful time.  Now they not only "feel" like husband and wife, they officially are!  Congratulations Cristina and Kurt.
