From the beginning it was planned as a simple family affair.  They live in Michigan but knew they wanted to get married on Englewood Beach on Manasota Key.  They weren't even planning on having a wedding photographer until Emily's mom realized that she wanted more than IPhone photos of her daughter's big day.

They flew in on Thursday and I met them at the condo they had rented on the Key to go over all of the details of the day.  Two days later, it was time for them to get married.

Although they were staying on the bayside, they had access to a section of beach away from the main public areas.  They rented an arch and chairs from A's Event Rental in Venice and set it up in the morning.  Emily had her hair done at James Griffith Salon in Venice.  Her sisters helped her get dressed and I took a beautiful bridal portrait before we all headed to the ceremony.

Kevin waited anxiously as her dad walked her down the aisle.  Her brother was the perfect officiant because he knew them so well. The said their vows surrounded by family and friends and in a matter of minutes, they were husband and wife.

To keep everyone cool and avoid the bright noon sun, we took family photos under a beautiful tree.

But a beach wedding wouldn't be complete without beach pictures, so we captured some moments they'll never forget.
